We practice Mysore together, as an offer for world peace and prosperity.
At Ashtanga Yoga Ibiza you can find both Ashtanga and beginner classes. At the moment, there are 2 clases of ashtanga weekly, mysore or guided, and 2 classes for beginners with soft yoga, starting with standing poses which are considered the foundation of a yoga practice. The lessons can be given in Spanish, English, French or Italian.
Mondays & Thursdays
5pm–7pm:
Ashtanga for beginners
At Ashtanga for beginners you will find a softer yoga, learning the fundamentals of moving with the breath and keeping concentration.
Tuesdays & Fridays
5pm–7pm:
Mysore Ashtanga practice
By doing series of linked postures expect to sweat a lot, and this is a good purification for the body and mind.
In order to do Mysore practise (the traditional method by which ashtanga is taught) you need to be able to do both sun salutations A and B without being led, and be familiarized with the standing postures. When doing this kind of practice, you work through as much of the series as you can and, with the guidance of the teacher, adjust and add postures when appropriate.
